UPDATE: MARCH 21, 2020
All Goodwill-West Texas locations will be closed to the public until further notice. Team members will still report for their scheduled shift, but are limited to 10 at a time in any area, and will focus on making our stores look their best for when we can reopen.
We thank you for your patience as we navigate this unprecedented time. As a local non-profit with a local mission, we are trying to do everything we can to delicately balance the need to fund our mission through our retail stores, keep our people employed, and keep our team and the public safe.
Until otherwise notified, our donation doors will still remain open to receive donations at our stores to maintain safety and sanitation outside the retail locations. Additionally, when we overcome this, stores are prepared and ready for customers.
UPDATE: MARCH 13, 2020
As many of you are aware, the COVID-19 virus has been steadily spreading across the US and many areas of Texas in the past week. Like many of you, we have spent the last few days learning more about the virus and how it could affect the public and operations that are vital for the people we employ and serve.
The following measures are being taken to ensure, to the best of our ability, that our Goodwill-West Texas families and the public remain safe.
1. Wash your hands. Please be hyper-aware to take extra measures to keep personal hygiene a priority.
2. We will increase hand sanitizing stations at our locations to include one at each register.
3. We will increase daily cleaning activity to 2x per day with a focus on light switches, door handles, counters, phones and registers for the duration of pandemic status.
We will update our processes as more information becomes available by the CDC.
