Since 1983, we have been changing lives through the Power of Work. Our mission is simple:
To provide opportunities to people with barriers to employment.
What does that mean exactly? Thanks to our donors and shoppers, we’re able to:

Fund internal mission programs that connect GWTX team members to vital resources and provide career pathway planning and development opportunities
And we don’t just serve the community — we live our mission, too. More than 60% of our team members have a documented disability or disadvantage, and each one plays a vital role in continuing our mission work every day. We believe everyone deserves the chance to overcome barriers and find meaningful work.

With 15 stores across 35 counties in West Texas, over 60% of our approximately 450 employees have a documented disability or disadvantage. We strive to also fulfill our mission internally by providing our employees with skills training, internal professional development programs, and competitive benefits.
