Meet Patrecia "Tree" | Employee Spotlight

Tree comes to work every day with a positive attitude and a fun spirit despite the challenges she has faced. 

Before working at Goodwill, Tree said she was in desperate need of housing and a job.  

“I applied at Goodwill,” Tree said. “It has been a blessing.” 

Over the course of two and a half years, Tree’s work ethic paid off. She was promoted to production lead and inevitably available to purchase her own vehicle and find stable housing. Brownwood Store Manager Brittany Bozeman said she is so proud of how far Tree has come personally, and she is grateful for the positive spirit Tree brings to the workplace.  

“She drives our business every day,” Brittany said. 

One way Tree brightens up the workplace is by dressing up for every holiday and encouraging her team members to join in on the fun. 

Tree said she has an outfit for every holiday. If you visit the Brownwood location during the Halloween, season, you’ll find Tree in a new and creative outift every day.   

“It’s so much fun,” Tree said. “It’s like being in high school and having spirit week.” 

Tree said she's so glad she gets to work somewhere that lets her dress up for holidays and have fun with her coworkers.  

“We can be ourselves here,” Tree said.
